If you’re one of our clients using our Dedicated Email Service, please see the information below for important updates, and settings changes that will be needed.

We’ve recreated your email addresses on the new dedicated server, and are ready to make the switch at this time.  Please ensure that any old important emails are saved either on your local computer, or have been forwarded from the current email account over to a different email address for safe-keeping.  Once we make the switch, you’ll no longer have access to any emails that are not saved.

Once we make the switch, you’ll be able to access your email via webmail by logging into your email account with your email address and email password into: https://webmail.mxroute.com/

You can visit this link to see how to set up your new email on iOS (iPhone): https://docs.mxroute.com/docs/general/ios-mail.html

–  (Please make sure to use Server Hostname, which is now: glacier.mxrouting.net in your Outlook or Phone Hostname Server Settings)

Your email password will remain the same, unless you’ve received a separate email with an updated password.

Techniques for Backing up or Saving your Email:

If you’re using Outlook on Windows (desktop app)

This is the easiest and most complete method.

Option 1: Export everything to a backup file (recommended)

This creates a single file you can restore later.

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click File (top-left)
  3. Click Open & Export
  4. Click Import/Export
  5. Choose Export to a fileNext
  6. Select Outlook Data File (.pst)Next
  7. Choose your email account
    • ✔️ Check Include subfolders
  8. Click Next
  9. Choose where to save the file (USB drive, external hard drive, cloud folder)
  10. Click Finish
  11. (Optional) Set a password, or just click OK

✅ You now have a full email backup in a .pst file.

If you’re using Outlook for Mac

Mac Outlook also supports export, but it’s even simpler.

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click Tools in the top menu
  3. Select Export
  4. Choose Outlook for Mac Data File (.olm)
  5. Select what to back up (Mail, Calendar, Contacts, etc.)
  6. Click Continue
  7. Choose where to save the file
  8. Click Save

✅ Your emails are backed up in an .olm file.

If you’re using Outlook on the Web (Outlook.com / Microsoft 365 in browser)

There’s no one-click full backup here, but you’ve got two easy alternatives

Option 1: Use the desktop Outlook app

If your web email is connected to Outlook desktop, just follow the Windows steps above.

Option 2: Save important emails manually

For a few critical emails:

  • Open an email
  • Click (More actions)
  • Choose Save as or Print → Save as PDF

Good for legal or important records, not great for full backups.
